David licks his lips, only realizing afterward, as Joe's gaze flicks down, how stereotypically ingénue the gesture is. He's never really pictured himself in the damsel-in-distress role. Then again, he's never really pictured Joe as the menacing sexual predator, either, so they're both playing against type at the moment.
