Megatron's an oblivious jerk for all of Thirst, and things look horrid for Starscream at the end. Possibilities for heartbreaking angst and wailing over the sunken ship M/SS abound. Instead, I took the ending as a challenge: could Megatron's mindset make sense in any way at all? Could any fondness, however twisted, still exist between them? Could anything be salvaged, given that Megatron never quite gave Starscream his chance to explain? This fic is my answer.
And some fun, full-on, creepily violent Megatron/Starscream, for those who've been missing these bastards. Don't be sipping the glorious dark energon spiked Haterade if it ain't your thing.
