Written as a sequel to “Boy Smell Nice”, a fun little ficlet by ZoeGrace set during the 4th season episode “Beer Bad”. In Zoe’s fic, which has, alas, been taken down while she explores original fiction, Spike has stumbled across Buffy while she is under the influence of the magic beer that created Cave Buffy. He becomes distracted from killing her when Cave Buffy decides that he smells good. During the course of the following activities, he bites her and tries to claim her. But all in all, it’s a fun evening for them. We begin with the very last line of Zoe’s story and continue at her request....

Joyce has a friend with her, and when it appears Buffy is dying, she prevails upon her friend to do what he needs to do to keep Buffy in the world. My first (and for many years only) Vamp!Buffy fic, it is followed immediately by Born to Be My Baby which continues with Buffy's attempts to prevent the Mayor's ascension as well as her continued adjustment to her new situation.

I didn't feel scared or dead inside, I simply felt content. But, the faces of a dozen dead young girls broke me out of it. As always, I saw a dead Dawn, Willow, Xander, Spike, and Anya lying next to the dead girls. So much death, pain and blood. I couldn't escape the visions that had been haunting me."
This one shot is based in S7 after Buffy goes on the date with Wood. No relationship etc. has occurred between them other than what occurred in the show. It's my idea of a fluffy plug in that could've happened.

Really almost a gen fic except that Buffy and Spike's relationship is an important part of it.
