Summary
Begins shortly after the first few issues of Buffy Comics Season Nine. While a working knowledge of what happened in Season Eight and the beginning of Nine might be useful, I don't think it's necessary as it's not all that relevant to the plot here, which is more about Buffy and Spike working their way (two steps forward, one back) back into a relationship than it is about the comics plot stuff. Sufficient to know that season eight ended badly (world saved, but some deaths occurred and relationships were shattered) and Buffy has taken much of the blame. She's working in a minimum wage job, slaying at night, and sees Spike once in a while when he and his ship of bugs (just go with it) are around. She's just moved out of Dawn/Xander's apartment and into one of her own when our story begins and goes totally AU from anything comic-related.

Summary
Part I is an AH AU in which Buffy "wakes up" from having been lost in a delusion for several years. Except for having so many memories of her delusional world, she adapts quickly to her new life and soon has a job and a boyfriend. Although Buffy (and everyone in her life who knows about her illness) worries from time to time about how she knows things she shouldn't, and there are occasional frightening incidents that can't be explained, she has mostly adjusted to her real life and is happily planning for her future. This is the happy part of the story.
Part II is set in Sunnydale, with all the usual characters we're used to seeing there. This is the part of the story that isn't terribly happy for anyone most of the time. The ending is deliberately ambiguous and the reader is invited to interpret the situation in whatever way seems most likely.

Summary
Two for one again. Season six. The short "The Way a Vamp Loves His Car", a fill-in-the-blanks in which Spike takes care of a very drunk Buffy; and the much longer, AU sequel "Baby, You Can Drive My Car" in which Spike gives Buffy driving lessons and she tries to pretend she isn't feeling the same things he is.
Summary: Continues almost immediately after the events of “The Way a Vamp Loves His Car”, in which Spike had found a morose Buffy drinking at the Bronze. He brought a very drunk Slayer home and put her to bed in spite of her having accused him of loving his car more than he loves her – a violation of their unspoken agreement to spend comfortable time together without acknowledging the baggage of his feelings for her. The evening ended with her quiet acknowledgement that she knows he loves her. There was some discussion about Spike’s teaching Buffy to drive – although not in his vehicle.
Unlike the prequel, which was a very possible Season Six missing scene ficlet, this one veers off canon almost immediately and goes to another, slightly less angsty Season Six.

Summary
Takes place after "Not Ready". Spike and Xander are working at becoming more than friends when Willow's decision to bring Buffy back and keep Spike out of the loop begins to shake the relationship. Buffy's actual return sends a serious wedge between Spike and Xander, and Spike moves back to his crypt. It takes some time, some misunderstandings, and a dangerous situation in which Xander is the hero to put things back to rights. Non canon season six, but with some canon-like issues now and then.

Four very different ficlets written to meet the following challenges at the 2007 Seven Seasons of Spuffy community:
1) Giles doesn't leave, and he's there when Xander finds Spike crying against the tree. How does Giles find out about Buffy and manage to be at the house when all the Scoobies return? How does he react to seeing Spike in tears at Buffy’s return?
2) What if Spike isn't the only one to hear Buffy say that her friends dragged her out of Heaven? Who has overheard her and how do they react to the news--as well as the fact that Buffy confided in Spike and not her friends?
3) Riley returns-absent any rebound wife. How does Buffy react while remembering how desperately she'd run to catch him and stop him from leaving her? Does she still want him back?
4) Spike knew about the resurrection and tried to stop it, afraid that Buffy would 'come back wrong.' What is he afraid of?

Four short ficlets that begin with a twist on the episode where Buffy breaks up with Spike - my version is still a break-up, but with room for hope. The next three ficlets were all written to meet Schmoop Bingo prompts. First, my version of the wedding that wasn't - again, with a twist that allows for some possible Spuffy. The third fic takes place during and after the wedding (yes, the wedding takes place in my version) in which Spike and Buffy get even closer to a new relationship. The final story has our duo working their way back to where they want to be - with the assistance of a little candlelight and violence. :)

The challenge was to write a fairy tale. As you will see, I combined several of them into this fluffy little fic. Takes place sometime in a not-so-canon early Season V, following a summer in which Spike has fallen into the habit of tagging along with Buffy on her patrols so as to get his “spot of violence” in for the night. Although they snark at and insult each other regularly, they have learned that they make a very formidable fighting team and they have forged a mutually respectful working relationship that may be growing into a somewhat reluctant friendship. As is often the case in my fics, the effects of Willow’s “My Will be Done” spell have left some uncomfortable and lingering memories of a short-lived, but much more pleasant relationship between our two heroes.

I don't think it's necessary to read that first, but it's short and smutty so if that's your thing...
This one follows it almost immediately as Buffy and Spike both have to deal with the consequences of their little encounter in the first fic. Some of those consequences are unpleasant and cause some angst, pain, comfort (lol),hard decision-making, and so on.Series

In Zoe’s fic, which has, alas, been taken down while she explores original fiction, Spike has stumbled across Buffy while she is under the influence of the magic beer that created Cave Buffy. He becomes distracted from killing her when Cave Buffy decides that he smells good. During the course of the following activities, he bites her and tries to claim her. But all in all, it’s a fun evening for them. We begin with the very last line of Zoe’s story and continue at her request....
