It's 2004, Hermione's life consists of being a Quidditch wife, married to Viktor. Her life is its own prison: glamorous, no passion, no spark. Sirius, now Returned from the Veil, sees this "new" Hermione and forms a friendship to help her see what she once was. The first become penpals, rekindling a friendship that existed when she was much younger, only to find out that both of them have long since "grown up". The letters are their initial form of communication, keeping their friendship private and non-threatening. However, the spotlight of being a celebrity is on Hermione in this view, being the wife of one of the most popular players in the world and things aren't always what they appear. She finds a "platonic" friend in Sirius, that later grows to be more, though they do not dare cross the lines of infidelity as nothing can be done as long as she is Mrs. Krum.
