Summary
The John Watson Cycle of Girlfriends is infamous. There are bets down at Scotland Yard to see how long John can keep a woman. It's a topic laughed at over drinks and chuckled over during investigations. Sherlock, however, finds the process utterly ridiculous.
It's inevitable really. John is going to find a girlfriend; Sherlock will be John's priority; Girlfriend will dump John; Twenty percent chance that either John or Sherlock will be injured in the break-up process. It had become monotonous, really. Utterly dull and boring.
This time, however, John's snatched himself and American. A brash artist who is far too passionate and much too young. She and Sherlock are bulls in a china shop, and soon enough Scotland Yard is betting and waiting for Sherlock to get punched in the eye and kicked in the balls.
Sherlock hates her; despises her; absolutely loathes her.
Why can't he forget her?
She's hiding something and she let's him know, but she won't tell him what. Hours and hours of deduction and nothing. Her mind is an enigma. It is creative and vibrant while his is functional and logical.
Perhaps he doesn't loathe her.
