John had read articles of passengers falling from broken planes, landing safely in a bale of hay or a thick layer of snow. No one bounced off pavement.

John hated how piercing that voice was, as if he were sitting right next to him, laying next to him in this bed, propped up on one arm with that look, that look that meant he had everything figured out.
If he were Sherlock, who would he enlist to protect him, to be his willing assistant? If not John, then who? Someone must know where he is. Not Mrs. Hudson, not Lestrade, not Mycroft…
