Summary

I'm a psychotherapist in training and this is basically me using my newly acquired skills to evaluate fanon (Is Sherlock a socípath? Does John suffer from PTSD?), speculate about our heroes' personalities (Why exactly does Sherlock place heads in the fridge and John put up with it?) and formative experiences (What was John's homelife like? Who was Sherlock at university?).

Sherlock Holmes needs to get away from England in order to protect his friends and dispose of Jim Moriarty's crime syndicate, so he seeks the help of an "old friend". But he doesn't forget about the people he needs to protect, so he uses other means to look out for them. How will Sherlock cope with a new life, new feelings and the discoveries he makes as he spies on his friends.

Summary
Sherlock's grown more into his role. It hasn't been easy, but nothing ever is. He takes time and patience and John. John isn't the core of his world, but if you set up everything like a pie chart, John would consist of a greater portion of it than he would like to admit. Though nobody needs to know that except for him (and maybe John - and he thinks John is smart enough to know, at the very least, that). Regardless of pie charts and John and time and patience, Sherlock has spent the last six months engulfing himself into this role and he finds himself nearing a balance that he has so often craved.
