Written for a kink meme prompt requesting a XMFC story based off of the 1996 film Different for Girls, but with an FTM Charles and Erik playing the Prentice role. You don't need to have seen it, but the plot owes a lot to the movie.
In a modern AU where mutants are still treated as second-class citizens, Erik once found himself an unlikely friend at a state-run boarding school. When Frances went off to college early, he felt abandoned and figured he'd never meet her again. Fifteen years (and almost three thousand miles) later, Erik runs into an oddly familiar man.

Charles Xavier is a lead researcher with the Genetics Department who is well on his way to tenure. But what happens when Charles has to cancel a class because half his students abandon him in favour of a mysterious new English Lit professor? Naturally he ends up sitting in in the class, where Professor Lehnsherr mistakes him for a student. It's really too bad Erik has such a strict policy against dating students. It's also too bad Erik doesn't seem to know how to use Google.

When the modeles just begin to completly forget that I am present. I just love love.The words above are the comments of the photographer, and they got me thinking about the way I (we?) usually write about sex as an almost out of body experience. The photo is such a tangle of people that I'm not even sure how many are there, and that got me thinking about discrete identities and bodies, and this was the result. I think I wrote the negative image of this photo. This is not my usual kind of story.
