Summary

Both of them remember being enemies to each other, being older, being miserable. Javert wants to believe that he is his own person, and that the Inspector is putting thoughts into his head from another world. Jean wants to believe that he has been given a second chance. Which is right? Could they both be right?
Faverolles will feel the repercussions of their beliefs, regardless of what they are. One almost has to wonder if it's worth the trouble to believe anything at all!
