Jim Moriarty made no secret of how little he valued life in all it’s forms.
He had about as much objection to ending a child’s life as he had for the cattle in the nearby slaughterhouse and that fact alone tended to make people sick.
No, life only mattered as much as people were willing to pay.
Sebastian Moran had no issue with that, no objection, no moment of vomiting the first time Jim had him pull out a gun and shoot the only witness to his crime at the time, a small child no older than 5, in the center of her forehead.
However, if the worth of a life could be measured in monetary form than those lives Jim saw as ‘his’ were of frightening worth.

”I really don’t understand you sometimes.” Moran moaned, finally given in and giving the Irishman his full attention. “I gotta sleep sometimes ya know? We ain’t all you.”
“Of course you don’t understand me, you’re an idiot.” Jim replied, all mad giggles and excitement as he threw his arms around Sebastian’s neck. “And this is important! I found him Tiger, I did! After years and years, I found him!”

Of course I do not own the characters used or the BBC's version of Sherlock, or Benedict or Martin, though if I did... It would go something like this. I hope you all enjoy, I've written detailed plot-points for this story, which I am quite proud of, including an entirely separate plot for what really happened in the case they work on, and for the circumstances surrounding Sherlock's survival. It was out of frustration, not being able to entertain himself for longer than a few short minutes, not being able to find anything substantial to grasp his interest, that Jim Moriarty became truly violent. First, he’d take it out on anything within arm’s reach, crockery, tables, chairs, anything that he could break, preferably into small unsalvageable pieces. Then he’d abuse anybody who crossed him. Clients who didn’t interest him enough or employees. He had struck Sebastian on several occasions, something the sniper had gotten used to. An occupational hazard. The smaller of the two certainly knew how to throw a punch, he just loathed getting dirty. Blood on one of his suits irritated Jim almost as much as being bored.
If Jim still had not managed to find something to occupy him, he then took it one step further. He’d kidnap a random person, and have Sebastian kill them as slowly as possible.
