In an AU where Werewolves are known and new werewolves each get assigned a mentor, Scott's was Derek Hale. Scott and Stiles are a package, where Scott goes Stiles follows and vice versa. Stiles pretty much fell in love with Derek and Derek straight up told him no.
Derek disappears soon after and no one hears of him for two years. Until he becomes a music sensation and tells the world that Stiles is his someone special.

One summer changed all that when a fire broke out in the cabin, and Stiles never saw Howl again. Now, Stiles is in high school, and having trouble with his anxiety he thought he got a hold of. It doesn't help that he's constantly fighting death with werewolves and Derek Hale, but there's something familiar about Derek. Stiles can't put his finger on it, and doesn't try too hard, but as they grow closer he'll soon realize who Derek really is.

As the invading pack grows more violent and ruthless it becomes obvious that no one in Beacon Hills is safe. The stakes are raised higher and even with new allies and a firm plan Stiles isn't sure if they'll be able to hold them off much longer.
That isn't helped in the least by Stiles' racing heartbeats and those fluttering butterflies that might or might not be connected to Derek, even if Stiles tries his best to deny it. Because there's just no way that's ever going to happen, even if he might want it to. The broody alpha would never be interested in something like that.

The worst kind of pain, Stiles Stilinski would come to realize, is looking up into the eyes of Peter Hale and realizing that beyond blood red irises lay nothing but the pure darkness of hatred. Pain was the over whelming sense of nausea that over came Stiles as he came to terms with the fact that every fear that had haunted him over the years was real. He was at the mercy of a werewolf so hardened by life that he hadn’t even the slightest bit of sympathy or humanity left in his veins.
