Since before he'd even left London, Louis had been searching for the quickest route back to his mother's house, craving the smell of home-cooked meal blessed by a mother's touch and the squealing laughter of children playing in the back garden under the heat of the Yorkshire sun. He had been restless for days, trying to scratch an itch that had been plaguing him, and he thought that perhaps his mother could cure him of it with a maternal smile and gentle assurance.
But as it were, when he put his foot down on the cold floor of the station, the distinct prickly feeling on the back of his neck told him everything he needed to know. He'd be a fool to think that he was heading home.
(or, Louis is a complete idiot, and everyone tells him so. Harry is just waiting for him to figure it out on his own).
