Summary

Instead, a malfunctioning Stargate sent them to an alien planet, just in time for the yearly Spring festival. Unable to gate home, they are picked as the year's 'chosen couple' and forced to participate in fertility rites. As if that was not enough, the people on the planet discovers Martouf if not an ordinary human, but host to Lantash - a being from a species which they consider gods.

Story Summary: After several failed attempts to get time off at the same time so they could go on vacation together after Netu, Jacob asks Sam to come visit the tunnels for a month. She agrees, but when she finally arrives, she finds that her father and Selmak are on a mission and won't be back for a week. Instead of having her return to the SGC, they appointed Martouf and Lantash to be her guide and "companion" until their return. After a couple of days, sexual frustration is beginning to tell on both of them...something is bound to snap...and it does.

Story Eleven Summary: Jacob and Per'sus join Martouf/Lantash, Malek/Devlin, and Daniel to discuss recent events and to make some decisions on the daily running of the base both during this crisis and after things have calmed down. Sam seems to be reaching another level in her healing and is doing much better. Once their visitors leave, Martouf and Lantash stay up in case she needs them, even though her fever appears to be fairly steady. When she wakes and finds them awake and near her, her need for them and them alone leads to some private time for them.

Sam is coming down with a cold, so she thinks it is just as well they will be gone for the next few days as it will give her a chance to recover from it. Lantash/Martouf discuss Malek/Devlin’s request to become her second-mate and exactly what that means in real terms. They approve of the addition to their household, but it is up to Sam. She decides that she would like to have them join her and her mates in the very old bonding called, for now anyway, Siaf’kesh’cor, Five Bound by the Heart.
