Summary
Hathaway is heartbroken by the way Lewis has got together with Hobson, with not a word or him, an explanation of even an apology. He can’t bear it.
But did he jump or was he pushed?
This is Hathaway’s last crime he has to solve. His own possible murder.
Spoilers for the whole of season seven, The Mind has Mountains, The Dead of Winter, The Point of Vanishing, Life Born of Fire and possibly other little titbits I can’t remember now in the text.
I’ve not tagged this as Midsomer Murders so not to disappoint the Midsomer fans; as the characters are quite definitely guest starring in the Lewis ’verse.

Summary
Robbie held back a sigh – first-aid training did not necessarily equip you to deal with faint and feverish, six-foot-three-inch tall, long-limbed men, nor help you achieve a reasonable sense of detachment when said person was also your partner and lover.

Summary
After his leaving do, the newly-retired Inspector Lewis has to face losing James Hathaway the very same way he lost Val. Meanwhile, James is off on an awfully big adventure which he doesn't understand in the slightest. Top of his irritations is an overly-clever, softly-spoken Detective Constable who's as difficult as Hathaway is awkward, and who didn't even bother to finish his degree. While the 1960s has its charms (Fred Thursday, no smoking ban), Hathaway would quite like to get back to 2012. Unless, of course, he's dead there.
Meanwhile, all good policemen need a mystery to solve. Even retired ones.
(will include several pairings along the way)

Summary
The sunshine is almost bright enough to blind and Hathaway is not sure that he trusts this. He expected fluffy white clouds, a big booming voice, a Presence. Or he expected heat. Flames. Darkness. And if he is honest, for the past few years he's been expecting nothingness. Just peace.
