Prompt: Peter Browning is something of a serial monogamist, and standing up for his weddings has come to be a semi-frequent obligation for Robert to endure. idk, I just want to see something silly where Browning is a self-absorbed, faily, but ultimately well-meaning father figure to Robert.
Note: Less Browning and less silliness than I set out to write.

He'd wanted Fischer to erase the scar of inception from both their souls, wanted to be convinced enough of an artifice that he would not ache every time he saw its repercussions.
But, in his selfishness, he had belittled the man in front of him. He had doubted his intelligence even as he moved forward with it firmly in mind. Had doubted his sincerity of spirit, his need for answers, his dogged spirit and marvelous, stunning determination. He'd even grown to doubt his selfishness, his need to not be excluded, to be in the heat of every moment lest he find he missed it.
