Summary
A little girl who has spent lifetimes in limbo appeals to the team for help. Arthur and Eames, having recently decided to go halves on a safe-house, find themselves anything but safe as they try to bring the girl and her mother to Cobb's dream institute on the other side of the country. They are not the only ones with an interest in the girl, who is proficient in more than just dream-sharing. She challenges the idea that reality is as simply defined as "being awake." This story also follows the characters in a "through the years" ending, therefore, heed the warnings! I wanted to deal with loss, and in some cases, moving on, in a realistic way.

She wants to be the one finding her own way through the maze, the one to sail off into forever. If she plays her moves wisely she just might get everything she ever wanted.

Fuck, he thinks, he didn't worry when he was on the road and shooting at Dracs, letting Pischer fuck him and slept curled up in the backseat of her car. He misses the smell of the desert. This here isn't the desert. This is domesticated desert. It's not the same as being out there in the zones that could kill you just because you dared to step on the sand.
