When Frodo Baggins came to breakfast with flowers braided into his hair Thorin dismissed it as charming hobbit nonsense. His little (adopted) nephew was often gathering flowers and things that meant more to hobbits that jewels or gold. It certainly wasn't a sign that he was ready for things like adulthood and courting. Not his little Frodo. Right? Right.

AU Estel age 11 has been captured by orcs after he was attacked with pack of wolves. Why haven't they tortured him yet? Why did they take him to their village and treated his wounds? Was everything that he was taught about orcs since birth been false all this times? Are they any different from elves, humans and any other beings? And why has this orc child keep pulling his hair as if wanting to play with him? What would Estel learn from them that would help him during the War with the Ring and when he is King? Or will he in the end be killed by the other family that he only knows by calling him a traitor?

Summary
It is at first no more than a shape, so easily dismissed as a trick of shadow or perhaps a beast seeking this new intruder to its realm. Thor has seen real monsters, and he does not fear the paltry imitations Midgard offers with little teeth and little claws and little screams and roars. It is the work of a moment, a shift of light, for Thor to see it is no beast or shadow.
It is a mortal, sinking downward into the depths below.

Merlin kissed Arthur on the mouth once, because it was spring, and spring made everything here wild. The burn flowing next to them laughed, because it was wild too; filled with water that was recently melted snow. Merlin's kisses kept Arthur warm, or at least they made the cold matter less.
Inspired by this KMM prompt: They're students at some remote boarding school. They both like to sneak out after hours, and keep running into each other while out on the moors or whatever. Eventually they start talking, and this grows into kissing, and then touching and sex.

This tells a story of the several months leading up to and following David Karofsky's suicide attempt. A Kurtofsky ship approached with logic and awareness, "Strange Currencies" provides the backstory of Dave after "Prom Queen" when he transferred to Thurston. This story respects canon through "On My Way", after which it corrects the gross mistakes and omissions of Season 3 definitively and negates Season 4. Dedicated to my own David K.
