    Summary

The story begins in S2E13, with the regicide attempt on King Richard's life in the Holy Land. Robin and his gang are fighting with Sheriff Vasey, Guy of Gisborne, and the Saracen assassins. The battle in Imuiz ends differently than in the show. However, the Black Knights have gathered an army in Acre, but the outlaws don't know about it yet. Their fight in Imuiz is not the last one.
There are detailed, rich descriptions of fights in the story.

She hadn't come to save souls or to right wrongs. She hadn't come seeking affection. It was not her wish to win hearts or break hearts or even to hold hearts. What she wanted was far simpler than that, more essential to the soul, thus even harder to achieve.

At Dawn's breathe, the May King, the green hooded Robin of the Wood, would come into the village with his laughing men. Villagers all of them. Loosely holding skins of Sack or Ale. They'd play Marion's favorite game, the game of Robin and Marion.

At Runnymede, she played a different game.

Philip's journey from Paris was the shorter distance, yet he arrived later, almost as dark was falling. Richard, knowing his tactics well, refused to be goaded so easily into impatience. "I'll wager you wish you hadn't burned the bridge at Porte Joie now," he said cheerfully by way of greeting. "You could have been here in time for dinner. It was splendid, by the way. We saved you some scraps."

    Summary

Much and Robin have been part of the Siege of Accre for a year now while battles, illnesses and difficulties with supplies take their toll on the men.
In the middle of this Much and Robin are captured by the enemy to be sold into slavery. Robin as a noble can buy his own freedom but Much remains captive unless Robin finds a way to free him. Robin does, of course, save him in a very dangerous and risky coup and they return to see the fall of Accre.
Still, tension runs high between Richard and Phillip of France while Richard contemplates marrying his sister to Saladin's brother.
In the meanwhile Much befriends the Knight Templar Thomas who is no less reckless than Robin but still confuses Much a lot more than his master ever did.
