Summary
John Watson comes from a long line of Omega activists and political prisoners. Sherlock Holmes is the son and grandson of Alpha autocrats. The two are destined to meet again and again. Secrets are revealed, hearts are broken. Sherlock will have to fight his own family as well as society to protect his only true love. Change is coming and the old ways will be challenged. Alpha Mycroft is in love with another Alpha, a taboo to society but he wont allow his love to be parted from him. The bonds of family will be put to the test, Mycroft finds an ally in the most unlikely of places within his own family, the two together will be a force to reckon with, especially when what's theirs is in danger.

One of the best Star Trek Reboot fanfiction I've ever read. Actually, come to think about it, it most likely is the utter best. It focuses on the relationship that made me fall in love with this universe--Bones and Kirk--and portrays their friendship in the best way imaginable. It's not about blood or romance--they're family, and it's beautiful. This is, frankly, what I've been looking for all along.
Of course, the fact that the writing's brilliant, that the story is fascinating and that I never, ever get the slightest bit tired of it doesn't hurt, either.
Perfection. Really, it is. -

It is spring of 1968. Enjolras is a leader of an activist organization against the Vietnam War, in New York. Bahorel leaves Liverpool to seek for a more interesting life. Musichetta leaves Greece which is under a juda to study in a free country. Courfeyrac, Prouvaire and Feuilly take part in the events of May in Paris, and then go to New York to make their rock band known.
It is the time of love, the time of music, the time of revolution, of racing hearts and rugged breathing, of summers and blue eyes, of damp sheets and tangled legs. It is the time of peace and the time of freedom.It will give its turn to the time of numbness, of pain and of war. The universe will continue spinning around them, no matter how fuckin' still they feel, the sun will still shine, no matter how dark their lives are. They'll think that nothing's gonna change their world.
But in the end, they'll follow the sun.

Summary
The Nerdstuck fics are set in an alternate universe in which Alternia became uninhabitable due to the death of a nearby green sun. Shaken and with heavy casualties from the loss of their planet, the trolls attempted to regroup using their many colonized slave-planets, but were rebuffed repeatedly by local rebellions. Desperate, they eventually stumbled upon Earth, where the Condesce struck a grudging deal with the United States of America (and, later, the United Nations). The trolls were granted amnesty, and were gradually phased into American society. This caused about as many problems as you might expect.
Read either ROLL FOR INITIATIVE (following John and Equius in 2013) or THE BATTLE OUTSIDE RAGING (following Bro, Meenah, and Kankri in 1992) first!
