“Hey potter!” Tony shouted from across the room making everyone turn to face Tony and Loki who was practically glaring daggers at him from where he stood chatting with Darcy
“That would make you Voldemort wouldn’t it?” Loki replied coolly
“Except way better looking and I’d whip your ass.” Tony said
“Oooh kinky.” Loki teased making everyone laugh. “But I’d have to decline.” Loki said and Tony was speechless for a bit because Loki had managed to turn the one thing he said that wasn’t sexual to sexual.
“Now if you’re done impersonating a goldfish, goodbye Voldemort.” Loki said as he turned back to face Darcy
“Gaping like a goldfish? Wouldn’t that make me Ginny then?” Tony asked with a smirk.
“No because that would imply I have any other feelings besides intense dislike for you and that’s more than incorrect.” Loki reasoned
“But you loooooove me, cause everyone does.” Tony said smugly
“Not me. I guess I’m the exception to the rule.” Loki replied as he totally ignored Tony and boy had Loki been right.
He was the exception to the rule, he was the exception to every rule Tony had and he didn't even know it. -

Summary
Formerly known as 'The Bird and the Toad'. Despite having deleted this once already because I started to find a hatred for it, I'm reposting it. I figured out where my hatred of it started, so I'm rewriting it from Chapter 15 on. The basic plot will remain the same, but I'm going to approach it differently this time. Lili started to become too whiny and annoying for my tastes. I've also started a different version of this located in the 'Wolverine and the X-Men' setting. So feel free to check that one out too.

Erik’s mind noticed things like how Charles’ brown hair caught the light from the lamps on the table besides him, how fair his skin was, and apparently, now and then, resolve to cataloguing the colour of his eyes – altering between comparing them to skies and seas, and settling on neither. It would all have been very amusing, if it hadn’t been for four small realisations.
One: Erik was in love with him.
Two: Erik didn’t even to completely realise it himself, because - as far as Charles could tell - he had never experienced anything of the kind before.
Three: Charles was less surprised than he’d expect given the situation at hand, and – to be perfectly honest – it felt more like a confirmation rather than a realisation. Which was perhaps the most troubling (he’d have to examine that sentiment later).
And four: Erik’s mind reeked with suspicion.
