There are some mornings when he wakes up with a hangover, a horrible headache and throbbing muscles. These are the mornings when he’ll take his time to throw himself out of bed, he’ll groan and be a pain in the ass for the people around him. These are the mornings when he’ll accept some painkillers, find amusement in worrying Joly a little more, and be a thousand times more sarcastic and cynical in order to push Enjolras to his limits.
There are some other mornings when he wakes up and feels nothing at all.
It will eventually be alright. Not today, but it will.
Just a piece of pointless hurt/comfort friendship fic, because these days suck and Combeferre is perfect and Grantaire needs a hug. Or a hundred and two.
