Summary
He’s carefully balancing the sandwiches and the two biggest tupperware containers he could find that both had functioning lids when the front door opens and he almost drops everything right there in front of the stupid fountain.
If that’s Derek Hale, he’s definitely not a mountain man.

Bookmarker's Notes
WARNING: do not read this fic if hungry and/or have no snacks within reach.
One of the few fics thst brings the Hales to life and fills you with the warm fuzzies, really making them 3-dementional. Stiles and Derek's relationship is brought to a slow boil and let simmer (I went there), and it's just absolutely devine - sweet and bitter in all the right places. A def favorite! (did I mention HOLIDAY fic!?)

Summary
When Eames takes on a job from Cobb to shape shift as his daughter, he knows that this will be interesting. When he's told that he'll be playing prisoner to the wicked beast in the castle just outside of the town, he isn't sure what to expect. He doesn't expect to find Arthur, a bitter ex-hunter who is still struggling to come to terms with his curse, and he definitely doesn't expect to fall for a man who refuses to believe in love.

Bookmarker's Notes
a masterly crafted fairytale that manages to come up with refreshing new directions with which to rehash the classic B&B storyline. Manages to keep the characterization spot on and the arthur/eames dynamic despite the AU setting. Very enjoyable

“Right.” The guy clears his throat. “I’m Stiles.”
Derek snorts. “Did she bully you into picking a ridiculous name, too?”
Stiles gives him an indignant look. “It’s my real name actually. Well, not my real name real name,” he amends when Derek raises a judgmental eyebrow. “But trust me, you don’t want to know my legal first name. Over twenty years and my Dad still can’t pronounce it correctly. Hell, I’m not even sure I can pronounce it correctly, it’s a fucking monstrosity. Also, Miguel, you don’t have much room to talk, because I’m pretty sure you’re not actually of Spanish descent.”

The One Where Derek Is Courting And Stiles Fears The Zombie/Werewolf Apocalypse by im_not_a_lizard

Summary
Written for this prompt: Awkward courtship funtimes! Derek is courting Stiles in the way that all male animals go about impressing their mates. Giving them practical (if weird, like, Derek gives Stiles 10kg of steak) gifts, making a nice home (he starts renovating the old Hale house), weird shit like that. Stiles is oblivious, and Scott keeps sort of helplessly hinting at what Derek is doing to little effect. Make me giggle and squeal into my pillow anon.

Summary
They talk for hours, sitting in their chairs (and oh God, what a relief it is that these are their chairs once more rather than just John’s and the unoccupied one reserved for someone who may never arrive to claim it again), John with bruise-like shadows under his eyes from nights filled with too many nightmares and not enough sleep, Sherlock’s cheekbones too prominent, even for him, skin and bones really, an imitation of life. They talk in shouts and whispers until the warm afternoon sun fades away to darkness, which slowly softens into gray morning light.
They don’t talk about the kiss. -

Summary
John Watson and Sherlock Holmes are not men who believe in fate.
No cosmic connection draws Sherlock to make that offhand comment about what an awful flatmate he’d make that morning. It’s pure chance that John runs into Mike Stamford in the park that afternoon.
But it’s some sort of poetry that after all the chase and chaos ends, after John’s bullet tears through the window and into the cabby’s side, after Sherlock finds himself lying to cover for a man he’s only just met (a man who’s just killed for him without a moment’s pause), they both sleep soundly through the night. -

"John never reads the Index. He’s had to look things up before, and the few items he’s skimmed through are enough to give him nightmares on their own, so he doesn’t touch it if he doesn’t have to." Sherlock keeps an Index, and John discovers that Sherlock's unique way of learning about people isn't as unusual as it seems.
