There's a particular reason that Riza Hawkeye is so driven to protecting Roy Mustang. It's about a promise she made in her youth - a promise she's unable to break, or else.
This started as basically a wacky TVTropes Wild Mass Guessing theory about Hawkeye, and over time I decided I wanted to make it into an actual fic. Spoilers aplenty for both FMAB and Madoka, especially the latter. Also, may or may not add archive warnings or more relationship/characters tags as the story goes on.
