Dean Winchester has had a hard life, and as much as he'd like to, he hasn't just got God to blame for it. Now he's found himself in a place where he hasn't got much choice than to look at his life and what he's done with it, and he isn't so sure he can deal with what he sees, which happens to include his dead little brother. In some small supply of luck, he at least is under the compassionate care of Nurse Castiel Milton, and maybe with some time (and some medication), he can find his way back out of the maze of his mind.

A series of scenes set in the Arkham Asylum Universe, exploring the idea of a relationship based on a sort of mutual emotional vampirism, created by interlocking neurosis. In this case, the idea that Crane's desire for control and god-complex, interacting with Nigma's need for attention and desire for approval from an authority figure (like say, a father, or perhaps, a god).
Not in real chronological order after the first, but chronology is made clear in each chapter. Eventual Scarecrow/Riddler.
