A series of drabbles, short stories and one shots too short to be posted on their own. I will update the tags (and possibly the rating) as new chapters are added. None of these were beta'd.

    Summary

What would it be like to date someone? (Unknown.) Would it be interesting? (Not with most people.) (John is not most people.) Would he learn anything? (Science?) It might be worth it to see what he can learn.... He teeters on the edge of saying something.

'John finds it ironic that the most emotion he has ever seen Sherlock show is to a dying insect'

It takes John Watson a little while to discover Sherlock Holmes' obsession with bees; but when he does, he wonders how he ever could have missed it.

    Summary

It's been six years- and even though he's no longer a soldier, every night John Watson still goes to war.
So why then is he not afraid of the dark?

    -In which John has discovered a new purpose (which has been a lot scarier than chasing murders through London alongside a madman), struggles through nightmares (that are always never quite the same), and Sherlock finally decides to let everyone know- for the record, in case anyone out there still cares- that he's not ACTUALLY dead (hint: they do; they care);

Naturally his return causes John to question more than just his coping strategy (he should have expected it, really), and the result makes Sherlock curious about something he never thought would interest him: being part of a family.

    Summary

Through all that was said and, more often, not said, he had always been sure of one thing: throughout this game, he’d be the one person Jim could rely on without hesitation. Acting as Jim’s sole confidant, his prized playing piece, was the constant on which he could always depend.

That day blew everything, all of his ideals, out of the water.

    Wonderland AU
The Queen is constantly trying to find interesting things to do, but in the end, the only way to live involves ending the world. (A very, very surreal take on Jim, heavily Reichenbach influenced. And, really, maybe it's not as alternate universe as you think...)

    Summary

“I fucking flatlined,” says John, down at the Tir Na Nog, just behind Lestrade’s right ear.

“You need to calm down, darlin’,” John says, conversationally, as if he always says that, as if he always says it in that way.

"Gaze streetward, forearms contracted, Sherlock hasn’t moved for more than an hour: The upper end of the ulna is shaped like a crescent. There are star-shaped pigment cells in the human eye."

"Oh, for the dead reckoning he learnt as a child."

    Summary

John’s Blog becomes popular and gains a fan club who likes writing fan fiction about him and Sherlock and anyone else mentioned in the blog. Mostly porn. John is mortified but Sherlock is intrigued. He takes to trolling the fandom and, maybe, writing his own fics.

    Summary

"Of all his exiles and migrations (family rifts, "rehab", moving house), this is the worst. Falling is nothing like flying, nothing at all."

“John can do takeoffs and landings. He can do them handcuffed, under fire, concussed and wrapped in crime scene tape. At some point, too long after Sherlock has gone, John thinks, Oh. Then he wonders if the miracle of flight could possibly have occurred whilst he was seeing, but not observing.”

“Bluebell flutters off like a fairy…'Fuck off,' John says to his unconscious.”
