Gilbert shrugs, an uneasy slide of his shoulders. He doesn't resist the pull of France's hands, following him down the hall and into the kitchen. "I don't know. West won't see me, I thought I'd head for Konigsburg, get my bearings and wait for... whatever." It's an old tactic, time-worn for Nations, to retreat to the capital, the heart, in times of trouble. The last stronghold for Prussia, and they both know it.

    Summary

Immediately post-WWII, Sebastian Moran finds himself in a bit of a jam. The ex-Colonel can either stay locked up in his new home, a dingy cell somewhere in London and patiently wait for his court martial and subsequent execution. Or he can take the mysterious, dark haired stranger that just showed up on his offer of a six month 'employment contract'. A short term employment contract with a rather large payout at the end, to be specific. Adrift without 'The War', Sebastian agrees to the man's terms, if only to give himself a purpose. And purpose he finds, but not at all in the ways he expected.

    Summary

It’s 1947. Dean is an ex-marine fighting crime and a very different sort of war to the one he faced in the Pacific as a detective on the streets of LA. This city isn’t all the glitz and glamor it’s made out to be, however, and Dean finds himself tugged in to a world of life-threatening unknowns when Daphne Novak’s body is discovered. Castiel Novak, her husband, was one of Dean’s battalion mates in the war, and he's just as deadly and dangerous as he was two years ago when he saved Dean’s life during the Battle of Okinawa. Except now he’s wanted for his wife’s murder, and Dean just doesn’t believe Cas is capable of that.

Is Cas really who he says he is, though? And what will Dean have to sacrifice in order to repay the debt he feels he owes?

    Summary

If Ludwig had ever told anyone how he thought he would meet the person he would fall in love with—which though he thought about it often enough he would have walked off a cliff before telling anyone his fantasies—it certainly would not have been like this.

Their meeting would have been over coffee, or somewhere with candlelight, or on the beach, waves gently crashing behind them and with a silly straw hat blowing away in the wind involved. It would not have been a collision in a back alley, the other man suddenly in his arms when they both turned the same corner.

"Enough, West. Just accept it. This is our fate." Crimson eyes that normally held the spirit of a roaring fire had now dimmed to a flickering glow. World War 2 was over and unlike Germany, he hadn't put up a fight. He knew a lost battle when he saw one. They had done some unforgivable things and now they were to receive their punishments. "Don't worry, we will meet again."

    Summary

'Inspired by the movie "In Time", where humans and mutants stop aging between 25 and 40, but are required to earn more time in order to survive.
"Living Time", which can be transferred among individuals, has replaced money and its availability is displayed on an implant on people's lower arm. When that clock reaches zero, one dies instantly. A fast and easy way to earn extra Time is to play chess against each other; the winner wins time from the loser.
When Charles and Erik first meet, they decide to bet all their Time to see which one's beliefs are right - Charles hates that mutants use their powers in chess games against humans and "cheat", while Erik thinks "the better men" should survive. A match to death can be paused at any time and be continued within a year; and while they are playing, the inevitable happens - they fall in love, despite knowing that at the end of the year one of them will have to die.'

Basically a lot of angsty schmoop and crying in a World War III world where the governments' attempts to ease the mutants - humans relationship went horribly wrong. Aka how corruption, money and dubious morality destroy personal happiness - Just like the real world.

Interbellum boarding school AU, inspired by the Lowood section of "Jane Eyre".

England, 1925. In a country where the Great War is a barely-fading nightmare, 12-year-old Charles Xavier finds himself at the Witworm School For Boys. Too old for his age and too young for the world, Charles, lonely and abused, struggles to understand the things he knows that he should not know, as well as fit into a school that languishes under the pallor of war. Despite the crush of people around him, Charles feels displaced; but he cannot shake the feeling that he is meant for more than simply living long enough to forget.

He doesn’t expect there to be anything he won’t /want/ to forget. After all, from his life so far, there is so little he wouldn’t be better off without.

    Summary

It wasn’t what Charles wanted but it was also something that he’s dreamt of for too long: Erik alive, Erik with him, and now that he’s here, he’s turned all of his nightmares into a prolonged encounter in which neither one of them could pull away long enough to forget either one, and still be alive. A dream within a dream within a dream.
