Summary
Loki was smarter in the end than even the All-Father could predict. Following the destruction of an alternate Midgard created by the All-Father Loki manages to hide on the real Midgard without the knowledge of Odin and Thor. And Loki looks for something to take his anger out on and who better than the humans that roamed that realm. But eventually even Loki got bored. And after a dozen years he was finally getting bored and looking for a new plaything.

*note* At the time of writing this, Captain America 2: Winter Soldier hasn't been finished & I've seen no trailers, just a few stills & read a few vague publicity blurbs, so while I vaguely reference events that MIGHT take place in that movie, it's hardly spoilery.
