While struggling to adjust, Sherlock, John, and Mary Morstan find themselves on a case involving betrayal, deception, and tests of friendship. But will it make their bonds stronger or tear them apart? And will it matter if Sherlock's demons pull him under first? An incredibly angst-filled adaptation of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle novel. So when everything failed, and the rocket was tearing itself to pieces, he felt he wasn't entirely responsible for whatever happened. At that point, it was a choice between damage or more damage. It couldn't be his fault that the world was like this."

Three months after his best friend and unrequited crush apparently committed suicide in front of him, John’s life has been turned upside down again by a voicemail from Sherlock in the US, saying he is covertly tracking down the remains of Moriarty’s network, and asking John to join him.
