A married Jim and Spock along with their daughter and very pregnant Nyota are visiting Spock’s family on the new Vulcan colony. Things start to fall apart very quickly and only get worse as secret start to come out. Then Jim gets a phone call from Iowa that makes everything worse.
If your idea of a good family vacation is no one ends up in a hospital, no one gets arrested, and no one dies, you may understand what Jim and Spock are going through.

Spock must’ve smelled it first, because he stopped walking and his “Captain” was more subdued than usual.
The breeze blew more strongly in their direction and Jim flinched subtly at the reek of decay—human decay, not the earthy, textural stench that was emanating from the dead crops. The two scents mixed together, in particular, made his stomach turn.

His friends help him try and achieve the closure he needs, but they're all broken and they're going to have to work together to patch each other up. It's okay, though; in the end, they'll be alright. Post-Into Darkness angst, but the ending is sweet.

"AU, where Pike is still the Captain, and Spock is the First Officer.
When Spock first got onto the ship he heard it is haunted by a ghost but didn't believe in the rumour because ghosts are illogical. Spock meets Lt. Kirk who seems the only one (besides Spock) who doesn't believe in the ghost. Spock finds Kirk's company quite entertaining and soon they become friends.
And they could live happilly ever after if Spock didn't discover that there is no James Kirk on the list of the Enterprise crew...
