Phil makes a point of ordering the remaining cards numerically, holding them carefully between his fingers before he fans them out, evaluates their condition, and then smoothes them carefully back into a neat pile, stroking the edges into uniformity with great care, still scowling at the red. “Who bleeds this color? Jesus.” Agent Coulson reclaims his trading card collection, somewhat worse for the wear. Spoilers for The Avengers (2012).
