Between Here and Now and Forever by Kaesa
Harry Potter - Rowling

All Godric wanted was a quiet life of scholarship, ideally one that didn't involve starving to death. So when two old friends (well, acquaintances, really) showed up and offered him a teaching job, he took it with few reservations, not realizing how extensively he was involving himself in international magical politics. Is gen-focused, but will probably contain romantic subplots of several kinds.

The first time I spoke Gwyn’s name out loud was the night my tad died. Standing in the park on the edge of the council estate, under a full moon, I threw my head back and called out to the King of the Tylwyth Teg to take me away or bring my tad back and make my mum stop crying every damn hour of every damn day.

The Norse Death Goddess wants to meet Jack, for very personal reasons.
"We catch aliens for a living and you don't think that Gods are real?"
"Well… I…" Gwen stopped, her shock giving way to confusion. "But Jack, Gods aren't aliens they're… well…"
"Actually it depends on the planet your on. Praxafalmaxa 19 had a whole set of races broken out by whether they were gods or mortals. They even had a split between the races of gods. Some lived high in the atmosphere breathing a really colorful mix of gasses, while others lived deep in the planet's main ocean and had both gills and oxygen processing lungs. The mortals could only breathe on land and lived about fifty years or so." -

“Dying to Remember” by Wynkat

Dying and coming back to life takes its toll on a person, as does watching friends and lovers die around you and Jack is heartily sick of it all. At the end of a very bad day, Jack turns up on Hella's doorstep looking for answers.
Hella, Lady of the Dead, nodded at Modgud. The Guardian of the entrance to all of Hella's lands returned the nod then looked down the hall at the crumbled mess that was Jack and shook her head slowly. "Djúpr mein."
"Yes, very deep," Hella agreed. She looked down at the list of names in her hand. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. The All-Father had a cruel way of dealing with his children, especially those destined to save the world time and time again. "Thank you for bringing me the update," she said as Modgud stood. Her friend and protector dipped her head in a shallow bow and strode out of the hall. -

"How do you feel about a little vacation Ianto?" Jack asked coming around his desk towards the younger man. He let his eyes linger over the perfect fit of Ianto's suit and the gentle bulge at his crotch.
"A vacation sir? I didn't think we did that sort of thing in Torchwood."
"Strictly speaking this would be a working vacation. You, me, a Norse god, a bottle or two of lube." -

“The Peace of the Stones” by Wynkat

The Master broke Jack during The Year that Never Was. On one special night at the turning of the seasons, the Cailleach and Brigid set things right.
The nightmares came regularly after that. Each one more vivid and bitter than the one before. I tried not sleeping, but my body was too tired from the Year that Never Was and the pain that had never been. Ianto tried to push the pain away but there was too much and his gifts only got twisted and turned back on him by my own anger. The Master had done his work too well. He'd used my passions against me, turning pain to pleasure and pleasure to pain until I couldn't tell the difference between the two or remember which one turned me on.

Jack jerked his eyes up to Loki's. It was the first time Jack had let him see the depth of agony clawing at his soul. Loki had known things on the Valiant were bad. All the gods knew that what the Master was doing was wrong. It was a blight on the face of existence. Now, Loki's worst fears were realized. What the Master was doing to Jack was beyond sane and Jack was disintegrating under the strain.
