Written for the LongLiveIanto NonAnniversy challenge Restart back at Adam ... when Adam changed Jack's memory of his father and Gray, it damaged him somehow - made his worst fears a reality in his mind. The rest of season 2 and COE happens but not the way Jack remembers. When his mind finally heals its Post COE but the events transpired very differently from what he remembers- Owen did not die at the Pharm or again at the power plant, Tosh is very much alive, and Ianto is immortal (how that happens and what goes on with the rest of the events including Gwen's marriage, Steven, Gray is all up to the author). The team - as we knew it or expanded - has to help Jack reconcile his memories and what really happened. submitted by teachwriteslash
This is the conclusion to The Butterfly Series a bit of a epilogue I suppose (for the most part and despite the fact I originally wrote this a few years ago...that was kind of an accident)

Ianto Jones never worked for Torchwood London. Instead, he opened a small coffee shop and bakery near the Millennium Plaza. Enter Captain Jack Harkness, in search for his morning cup of coffee. Not only does he find a coffee shop he wants to stay in business, but he also finds a friend in the shop's owner. And maybe, he's found something more.
This story loosely follows the original series, but focuses primarily on Jack and Ianto's relationship. JANTO EVENTUALLY!!!

The 456 are Junkies. Highly intelligent Junkies, with lots of blissed out time in which to think up more ways to get their fix. Why would they gas a building full of people who may yet live to create more children? The gas is more than anyone knows, and its reaction to one Ianto Jones is more than anyone, even the 456, could have thought.
Ianto has live next door to the Rift since he was born, and has encountered so many different kinds of energy that it shouldn't be a surprise that an Alien drug would have an extreme effect on him, but it is anyway.So, the CoE ending is Bull. As is so many other things in the story, and that's why I made a fix-it. Please bear in mind that I haven't actually seen the 4th season yet, I wrote chapter 1 with season 1-3 in my head.
EVERYTHING is written without having seen season 4, so no spoilers there.
Also, this is done :) Last chapter is a directory that the next story is up, so look forward to Too Tired To Wink, story 2 in this 'verse.
