Mercenary space captain Kate Bishop's got a loyal crew (mostly), an unreliable space ship (hey don't you say that Dawn's Archer is perfect), some unresolved anger issues (some faces that need grinding that is), and a lot of moral gray areas that she likes to play around in as she roams the galaxy, taking whatever jobs she can find. When her ship takes on some unusual passengers, however, everything goes completely off the rails.

When the Quorum ship SQ-9 picks up a random signal from a dark and empty zone of space, Captain Regina Mills finds herself with a dilemma: chief science officer Dr. Rupert Gold seems desperate to investigate the source - perhaps desperate to the point of mutiny. With help from her crew, and a civilian bounty hunter, Captain Mills tries to determine whether the signal is a benign communication from an advanced alien race, or something far more sinister.

The fleet finally moves off Tannhauser hub, but with damaged AI outnumbering whole ships roughly three to one, the hyperspace convoy back to SHIELD's home system rapidly becomes complicated. Tony's brain really doesn't have the hardware to be a fleet subspace interlink.
