Summary
White Rose has lived a double life for too long. For too many years, he has struggled alone to determine how he should handle an ethical dilemma he never wanted to face. Now, finally, he has found help online. But is it the right help?
Twenty Thousand Gold Stars describes an online world where anonymity is all-important, and where a knock on the door can spell disaster. Yet behind the masks that are unwillingly donned, men and women seek answers to imperative questions that will determine, not only their own futures, but the futures of those they meet in real life.
"It was a foundation of his life that he must tell no one. The first signs that this foundation would be shattered came on a windy day at the end of February, as he sat in a room lit only by the bright colors glowing from his computer screen."

Summary
This is my first attempt at a novel. The idea has been rolling around in my head for a few years now, and I'm doing my darnedest to get it written even if I'm terribly slow at it. ;) The story follows 12-year-old Conrit Ceto, a young boy who has run away from home to find his older brother in the large, shoreline city of Nieve. There's something special about Conrit and his brother, though. They're not exactly human.
The story is an urban fantasy set in a city inspired by the 1920's and 30's, involving mobsters, magic, and some darker themes. Warnings include mob and supernatural violence, and foul language.

"The Silver Ship" is one of the most popular fairy tales on the Stations. This version is from Chandoval's famous collection, Fairy Tales of Mother Earth, first published in the year 73 A.C.S. on Sigma Station. It begins as all fairy tales do: "Once upon a time, when the Earth was still solid beneath our feet and the stars were distant and strange ..."

Ohhhh god this is creepy. Far, far creepier than I would have thought it could possibly be if someone had explained just the concept to me ahead of time. But it is so, so GOOD. Meta and fiction and the place where the line blurs and the moment when it hits so close to home that you can't tell yourself it's completely irrational to be a little bit afraid.
