But Eldarion is uncertain. Having fought the Southrons and grown up on stories of their wickedness, he is sure that Gondor doesn't need such allies. The Queen of the Haradrim, however, seems to think otherwise.

A visit to the Blue Mountains by the Dwarves of the Iron Hills, including the famed Dáin Ironfoot himself, stirs up old grudges and bad memories for the exiles of the Lonely Mountain and tests their bond with the Broadbeams of the Ered Luin; little Fíli and Kíli find themselves caught in the middle.

He focuses on getting Fíli's textbooks on audio.
Unfortunately, the only company that sells the exact ones Fíli needs is Greyhame Audio Books.

Summary
Thorin is finally officially presenting Fili as his heir to representatives of Dain, Lord of the Iron Hills and the next-strongest claimant to the title of King of Durin's Folk. The two must take a long journey to the Northern Blue Mountains to meet them, and the outcome of the meeting could affect Fili's future for years to come.
Kili, meanwhile, left at home with Dis due to his age, is reaching a milestone of his own, one which will have its own influences on the lives of the two brothers.
(The summary is way more ominous-sounding that the story deserves)
