Tony and Steve decide they’re ready to have a baby. But neither Pepper or Natasha are willing to act as a surrogate and adoption agencies are denying them because of their “dangerous lifestyle” as superheroes. The solution? Take some genetic material from the both of them and grow a “test tube baby”. The problem? Super Soldier Serum and cyberpathic linkage are hereditary, causing the baby to grow at an extraordinarily fast pace and be born with the abilities of both her fathers combined. Nothing the Avengers can't handle, right? Sure, you go ahead and tell yourselves that.

When Thor went storming into Jotunheim he was looking to start a fight, but accidently winds up a pawn in Odin and Laufey's plans for a permanent peace between the realms; namely, in exchange for the return of the Casket of Ancient Winters, Laufey is offering his firstborn child Loki, the Aesir-sized sorcerer, in marriage to Thor. Such a momentous decision is not to be taken lightly, so Odin sends Thor to live on Jotunheim - without Mjolnir - for a season with Loki, to get to know his prospective consort and to teach the wilful prince some diplomatic sense. Thor is horrified, his parents are insistent and no-one really knows what Loki is thinking, but he hasn't stopped smiling...

He knew the look in her eyes, the set of her mouth, the tension in her jaw. Oh, how he knew that sharp, angry, hard face. He could practically hear Loki hissing “You idiot” in his ear.
“You deny it, then?” Hogun asked.
“Seriously?” Lucy’s left eye twitched slightly. “I have at no point in the last thirty years seen or experienced anything that would lead me to think I’m a dude, an alien, a god, or any combination thereof. So yeah, I’m going to have to go with denying it.”

Summary
Eight years have passed since the events of The Avengers, but things have not remained static. Thor has married his beloved Jane. They have had a daughter Astrid, and they raise her together, still in New Mexico where they first met.
For Loki however, little has changed. Still he is banished from Asgard, still his powers are sealed. How bitter it is, knowing that Thor too lives in Midgard, and that he enjoys so pleasant a life himself. If he cannot regain the Kingship that is his by right, at least, Loki thinks, he should be able to achieve revenge upon his oblivious, satisfied brother.
