Summary
"Someone has to keep the paparazzi employed."
"Better you than me, dude," Kris says brightly. Then, softer, serious and a little cynical, "and you do such a great job."
There are about a dozen different ways to interpret that, or there would be if Adam didn't recognise the conspiratorial gleam in Kris's eyes.
Five years on, the rules have changed, even if the people haven't. A story about fame, music and screwed up love.

Terrorists plotting to kidnap an R&D engineer on a classified project are trouble enough. Having extra hands on deck should be helpful, but between Gibbs' and Callen's history and Team Gibbs' previous experience with Yael Dunski, things don't quite work out that way.

Summary
It's been weeks since Problem Sleuth's last case and that paycheck is finally running out. The fridge is empty. The fact that he owns the building is the only thing stopping him being evicted. Ace Dick is away on "vacation", that hysterical dame that calls on him sometimes is getting more and more distant, and he's just about at his wits' end. When Problem Sleuth gets a call from Diamonds Droog saying Clubs Deuce has been murdered by a member of the Felt, he's reluctant at first, but something about the case is terribly intriguing...

The Chuck Writes Story: An Unathorized Fandom Biography
I’m about to link this on bad_penny.
Remember chuck_writes? Wank All Star that lord_kripke and the other Super Gnats took down with a wrecking ball? That chuck_writes?
Turns out that chuck_writes was actually a sock for Carver Edlund (which was actually a pseud for his real name, Chuck Shurley. No wonder he used a pseud). You read that right. chuck_writes is THE Carver Edlund—author of Supernatural books, beloved by the masses, worshipped by lord_kripke and the SPN Super Nats—that Carver Edlund.

Notes
A pretty flawless and mind-blowing fandom meta fic about Supernatural fandom/canon and the latter's love affair with the former (and the former's with itself. And wank). Adorably lifelike. Also, it's pretty meta about... fandom itself. I've never felt so sympathetic towards Cassie Claire as when I see her in comparison to this story's Kripke.

This is a fun read, and Castiel as a human works weirdly well in it (which is usually a bit of a sticking point with a human AU).

Notes
Aliens make them switch bodies just in time for Spock's Pon Farr! This is a dizzying yet kind of genius combination of clichés. Also intensely OTP-wallowy and maybe a little too soppy for coldprickly types, but really well-executed.
