While investigating this new threat, Nick is stunned to find that it brings him back into contact with Monroe - but Monroe has been drastically changed by his experiences during his absence. Nick has to find a way to defeat this new enemy, while helping his best friend recover physically and mentally from the trauma he's endured - and maybe finding an unexpected love along the way.
