The story takes place about the timeline of the movie, but a lot of the of movie seems kind of rushed, especially in the beginning and with the character relationships. I originally wrote this story when the movie came out because of all of the Charles/Erik feels, but Human Compassion is more about Erik trying to live his life for the first time rather than destroy others'.

1867 - Teaming up with local sawmill owner Tony Stark, Charles Xavier of Genosha Territory attempts to bring more settlers into the territory to keep his loggers from striking. Little did he know that he'd end up one of those smitten by one of the newest residents, the mysterious Erik Lehnsher.
This is a fusion with the 1960's television show, "Here Come the Brides."

It was Christmas day. That wasn't the strange thing though, even though Eric had never celebrated a holiday before. What Erik found strange was all the jumpers he received from everyone he knew. They were all slightly different, depending on who they were from but they were all jumpers just the same. He shot an amused look at everyone wondering if this was a conspiracy or if he just looked that cold in the jumpers he already had.
