She heads to Greece to be with her mother's side of the family for a much-needed holiday filled with dancing, shopping, good food, and a sea of dark-haired, dark-eyed Greek men all ready to show a girl a good time. Unfortunately, when Draco *coincidentally* appears in Greece at the same time for his holiday, and takes back up a prior love affair with Hermione's favourite cousin, Hermione's holiday plans -and her good intentions to keep her distance from her co-worker- are chucked right out the window. Jealousy, humour, and misunderstandings abound as these two stubborn partners dance around each other and their feelings.

I wrote this one a LONG time ago! Four years ago, in fact. I was still in high school, so it's very young, unpolished work. But I'm oddly fond of it and it's lengthy and detailed, so I'm going too post it here. I mean, it's a fic exploring the family life of my favorite character, I have to have one Hermione-centric fic in my archive, even if it's not from her PoV.
Jean Granger watches her daughter whisked away to a world she cannot hope to understand and also begins to suspect her of keeping secrets. When Hermione is ready to tell, her honesty comes at a price and the Grangers have their identities ripped from them.
"Though Jean Granger would never tell her daughter this, not even if a gun was held to her head, Hermione had been an accident. Jean had always put her career before anything else, and fresh out of dental school, already an assistant in a successful firm and married to an equally intelligent and promising young man, having children had been the last thing on her mind."
