John is a surprisingly good cook, Moriarty finds out, and Sherlock gets annoyed his leftovers keep getting stolen.
Problems really start (for John at least--Sherlock thinks the thefts are Unacceptable!) when he accidentally cooks what he ought not have.I strongly suggest you read the work that this was inspired by
