Summary
Jared loves Jensen, an aspiring cartoonist just starting grad school, who has a history of yo-yo dieting and some inexplicable habit of attracting weirdos (though he didn't really get a choice with Danneel). Jensen loves Jared, two years his junior, currently doing a semester abroad at Oxford and entertaining dreams of being Charles Xavier when he grows up. Without completely clueing Jared into what's at play, Jensen wants to put on at least another fifty pounds while Jared's at Oxford, by way of indulging in their mutual kink… This is where Misha comes in.
Misha is Jensen's best friend, roommate, and fellow grad student. He has some problems with anxiety, emotional awareness (in that he has very little), and nonchalantly committing crimes against nature. Misha's also been in unrequited love with Jensen for four years, and in denial about having an eating disorder for even longer than he realizes. And he's fairly certain that he's pissed off some Supreme Cosmic Power, because between the sexual frustration and his looming relapse, it really looks like the universe is trying to screw him over.

After he escaped from the Other World, Jensen loses all his powers as fairy; he tries to blend in among humans, working in an animal shelter while studying to become a vet and even though the Human World is not exactly like he pictured, he's surrounded by wonderful people and he's in love with a gorgeous lawyer, Jared Padalecki.
Everything is perfect until Jensen finds himself pregnant.
Now he has to break the news to Jared, deal with his newly-found powers and try to support his best friend Misha, a fairy of the woods, in his insane crush on a human.
Is the human saying 'love conquer all' really true? Because a male pregnancy can be enough on itself to ruin his happily ever after. Scritta per mpregbigbang.

"There's nothing wrong with just being concerned with his appearance and his health, or so he tells himself…Sure, he can admit that he's been overdoing things a little bit, but it's just a side-effect of getting fat, in the first place… But nothing to write home about…"
Misha's sick — or, at least, some part of him is sick. Rationally, he knows that what he keeps feeling, how he keeps thinking, isn't even remotely close to healthy. To normal, or acceptable. But when it feels like he's losing control of his entire life, he has a comfortable obsession. A coping mechanism that's never let him down, even when it's done its best to destroy him.
The problem, if anyone cares to ask for his opinion, is that he's not strong enough to manage anything without it. (takes place: after "Jello Shots And Skin Mags"; in the series backstory.)

Summary
Everyone has a side to themselves that they keep hidden from the world, but for Richard, it goes beyond that. He believes his secret is so awful that he's spent many years locking it away and risking his life to keep it hidden. Though he's always shunned friendships, believing himself to be too monstrous, working on the set of Supernatural changes things and gives Richard the chance to form relationships he's always been too afraid to allow himself before.
When Misha finally does discover Richard's secret, he takes on the task of showing Richard that things are not always so black and white, and that Richard's secret is not the terrible thing he's always seen it as.
