"Anders is sexually assaulted on his way home from the clinic one night by a pair of templars who are too afraid to do anything more to the Champion's beloved, and Anders unsuccessfully attempts to hide what happened when he returns to the mansion."

Summary
Prequel to "The Champion's Weakness". This tells the long and complicated history between Anders and the Templar Rolan, from their time in the Circle Tower to their time together as Wardens in Amaranthine. It's a relationship that begins with mutual affection and attraction, that slowly turns into something very dark and twisted.
