Summary
There’s only one empty chair in their usual corner of the Musain, but that’s all it takes. The whole back room is blanketed in a deathly hush, voices speaking only in gentle whispers. Everyone skirts the vicinity of the chair, but no-one’s eyes can leave it; it suddenly becomes the centre of the room, the focus point around which they all slowly circle. At this moment, it seems very hard, and almost wrong, to imagine that they could recover from this – that maybe Courfeyrac will be able to smile brightly again, that Enjolras’ fervour will return full-force, that Eponine will return to her feisty self and even Cosette will likely return – and so they don’t.
They skirt around the empty chair, and stare, as if looking long enough will make them accept that Marius is not there and will not return.

It wasn’t the norm, for an adult to hold onto his or her Belief. In fact, such a thing almost never happened. Most children started to forget, around the end of their preteen years, and the Guardians had learned to accept that. They protected children, after all, not adults. Their strength came from the pure simplicity of a child’s Belief. Adults were too world-weary and skeptical to ever maintain such a thing on their own. It made sense that they would lose so many in the transition between the two.
Ingrid was something of an exception… not because she was special in and of herself, of course, but rather due to an odd series of events.
But one thing inevitably leads to another, and when Ingrid strikes up a fake "deal" with the Boogeyman to help her little sister with her nightmares years later, she doesn't realize that a shred of belief and permission are all the Boogeyman needs.
Belief opens many doors, including ones that probably should have stayed firmly shut.
Starts out cute, fluffy, and a bit slow, but picks up (and grows darker) quickly!

Post Avengers and told from Clint Barton's point of view. Clint's side of "It's A Little Bit Funny, This Feeling Inside" part of "Your Song" Series
Clint demands to pay his last respects to Coulson and his angered and shocked. After almost quitting S.H.I.E.L.D, and an extended sabbatical with Natasha and copious booze he realizes he is running in the wrong direction. When they move in with the rest of the team, he gets a helping push from his friends to go for the guy.
Drinking, Avengers SPOILERS, more karaoke and of course more meddling from the team. See the end for notes.
