Romance, violence, mayhem, and plotless adventure ensue, including but not limited to copious amounts of: swearing in multiple languages; careless shredding of historical fact and geographical reality; total disregard for any military organization, procedure, protocol and knowledge; Thomas Hardy-level coincidences; narrative blunders of the most obvious sort; and general crack and nonsense. Also, sex. But not right away. I like a little foreplay myself.
