“Yeah.” His voice was hoarse.
“Yeah what?” Merlin asked uncertainly.
Yeah, you shouldn’t have. “Yeah, I wanted it.”

Summary
Merlin is a young warlock living in Ealdor and having some sort of relationship with his life long friend Will. He has always dreamt to go to Camelot, but since he discovered his magic his mother thought that it would have been safer to keep him in Ealdor, considering King Uther's hate for magic.
Arthur runs away from Camelot and arrives in Ealdor disguised as a peasant,under the name of Alistair. When they meet Merlin's magic starts to act strange. And when Merlin and Arthur finally bond, Merlin is "mugged" and wounded, and as it turns out, this is just the opening of the proverbial rabbit hole, and how far does the sin go, how deep do the lies seep, and how much is Merlin really willing to sacrifice for the greater good.

This story makes me laugh, cry, and lament over the stupidity of boys in love. While the movie this story is based off of seems very superficial and is more a screwball comedy than anything else, this re-write takes everything so much deeper. The characters are very tangible and real—and the roller-coaster of feelings we're taken through are very natural. This is one of those stories I keep printed out in one of my desk drawers to pull out on a lazy day.
