A Modern day Merlin AU set at the University of St Andrews, featuring teetotal kickboxers, secret wizards, magnificent bodyguards of various genders, irate fairies, imprisoned dragons, crumbling gothic architecture, arrogant princes, adorable engineering students, stolen gold, magical doorways, attempted assassination, drunken students, shaving foam fights, embarrassing mornings after, The Hammer Dance, duty, responsibility, friendship and true love...
This story was inspired by the thought of Prince William of Wales (and indeed the current Max von Hapsburg) studying at the University of St Andrews; it is also, as the title suggests, at least a little inspired by the operetta 'The Student Prince'.

Summary
Modern AU. Arthur moves to a a different city to start a new life and become a new man. On a whim he decides to share a flat with an attractive stranger, and quickly gets drawn into Merlin's odd little world.

Arthur/Merlin, modern AU.
Merlin is an indie geek who works at a used books, cd and record store. (And by indie geek anon would like the whole stereotype. Listens to weird rock bands, read obscure books, big black framed glasses.)
Arthur is the average golden-boy-super-jock-perfect-preppy-soccer-captain. He sees Merlin somewhere and instantly starts going out of his way, going to Merlin's store, reading his weird books and listening to his weird music just to impress him.

Summary
Arthur doesn't care much about the popular radio program Dragon's Lonely Hearts until his ex-girlfriend calls in to slag him off and get advice. When he calls in and has an on-air argument with the host, it starts off more than he expected, including meddling friends, overinvolved fans, and maybe love.

Summary
Arthur is an early career Iron Age scholar. Merlin is a skater. The slash dragon makes destiny happen, as per usual.
The fic was written for this KMM prompt: Today, I had to leave my one-night stand in my flat because I was giving a guest lecture at the local university. Halfway through, I hear someone sneaking in so I jokingly asked if they had a 'wild night out.' It was the guy I slept with. FML

Summary
Arthur meets an unemployed and couch-surfing Merlin at Uther's funeral and decides to let him stay in Uther's apartment rent-free for a while. It should be a simple arrangement, but something about Merlin makes him so much more than just a tenant.

Summary
Merlin is definitely supposed to work for Arthur, but spends most of his time mocking Arthur's dress sense, berating him via IM with Morgana, sending Gwen capslock-filled emails about him and, most of all, trying not to fall in love with the shiny-shoed ponce. Arthur, meanwhile, is definitely supposed to be taking over his father's company some day, but instead spends most of his time scowling at Merlin, making lists about him, trying to find excuses to fire him and, most of all, trying to pretend he is totally not head-over-heels for the jumped up little upstart. Someone's got to make some difficult choices eventually, and this can only lead to one thing: angst. Or hilarity. Or, embarrassingly enough, self-discovery.

Merlin and Arthur decide to get married. That was the easy part. Planning their wedding on the other hand... A fic about the trials and tribulations of wedding planning. Based on the KMM prompt of organizing their own wedding. It's harder than they thought (good advice from friends, things that go wrong, nervousness/frustrations, etc.). In other words, approx 21k of cracky wedding shenanigans.

"Do you know why I refuse to fight?” Merlin says in a quiet voice later that night. He lifts his head from the circle of his arms. The new bruises are stark on his ashen skin, one eye swollen and new bandages around his waist. His face is so profoundly sad that Arthur does not have the heart to make petty comments.
