Gerard is a mental institute patient with a vivid imagination to say the least. He lives a paranoid existence, but everything changes with the arrival of a new patient, Frank. Gerard finds that Frank's condition makes it difficult to develop a real relationship with him and is often led to heartbreak. Meanwhile, the line between Gerard's delusions and reality becomes less clear and some of his seemingly crazy theories start to seem like they may have some truth behind them.
