Summary
When Jesse Turner's parents die in a house fire in 2019, Jesse comes back to the states to avenge them, hardened and mistrustful from years of being hunted. There he meets Ben Braeden and Claire Novak, both following the demon behind the attack in hopes it will lead them to the missing Sam and Dean. But Ben and Claire don't exactly trust half-demons, and Jesse sure as hell doesn't trust hunters. The reluctant partnership they enter into takes them to the fire-consumed ghost town of Centralia, PA, and then even deeper into the colorless flat abyss of Purgatory. There, Jesse must confront his powers once and for all, even if it means losing his humanity in the process.

Summary
Three years after estranging themselves from Castiel, the Winchester brothers are still reeling from his betrayal, living a mostly-civilian life in Sioux Falls to protect Sam from further damage to his ever-weakening wall. Sam is willing to forgive and forget, but Dean still can't forgive Castiel for what happened at Purgatory's gate. The most important rule to remember is that all property of the Adler Estate will behave in accordance with the First Amendment of the North American Union and will follow the Governing Body’s Statute of Slavery to the letter of the law. Being a slave doesn't suit Dean but it's nothing he can't handle until someone familiar takes him out of Alistair's cruel hands and into his own. Suddenly Dean finds himself at war with what he wants, struggling to reconcile the man he knew with the one he calls "master" and fighting to remember who he is and what he's ultimately set out to do.

Post-7x02. "It wasn't that he found peace, but that he found silence, which is an adequate placebo for now. Life as a priest gives him a home, a name, and a function, and it soothes him to stay in this place while he waits for the fog in his head to lift." And then Meg happens.
